Marietta College Esports

Biography

Marietta College added a competitive Esports program in the fall of 2018. The program is open to any full-time Marietta College student who has an interest in competing at a high level in video games. Students of all abilities may join any of the Esports teams. There are also educational opportunities for students as they learn about leadership, management, broadcasting, and marketing in Esports. The program offers Esports teams in League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, Rocket League, Fortnite, Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate, and Valorant. Additional games may be supported as interest grows. Marietta College is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) and the Great Lakes Esports Conference (GLEC). The Esports teams compete in several NACE and GLEC leagues in both the fall and spring semesters. In addition, the teams participate in national tournaments organized by Riot Games (CLoL), and Collegiate R6. Marietta College Esports is officially partnered with HyperX as an exclusive peripheral sponsor. We are also partnered with Incrediwear, MSI, Kovaak's Aim Trainer, and Over-the-Moon Pizza.
