Biography

TXWES Esports & Gaming is based on the 4 Cs: Competition, Creation, Community, and Career. Competition is for our competitive members of our program on one of our varsity teams (Overwatch, FIFA, and Smash Ultimate). They practice, host VOD reviews, and compete in our dedicated spaces on campus, Creation is our Production Team (for YouTube content) and the TXWES Stream Team (Twitch). Community is our student employees, social media presences, and the multiple student organizations under our department focused on esports, gaming, and pop culture. Career is where it all comes together. We want to provide a fun, meaningful, and engaging educational experience for students involved in all parts of our program that helps along the path to graduation and a success career in your field of choice. While we have the competitive aspect, the bulk of the students who are involved in our program and who receive scholarships are involved outside of our competitive teams. The students who make up our program are our foundation and the most important part of this experience.
