Overview

PlayVS, Stay Plugged In (SPIN) and Hall High School have teamed up to bring the PlayVS Road to College Event. Hosted in West Hartford, CT, students from across the region will have the opportunity to compete and showcase their skills directly in front of college recruiters! Come experience a great day of esports competition and recruiting opportunities.

All tickets are WAITLIST ONLY! You can still sign up as a team to get a spot in this event. Please register by contacting us directly at kyle@carolinaesports.gg.

Event Registration

Please see the below instructions and options to register for this event.

  • Please select the appropriate ticket option depending on your status as a student in a PlayVS school or not.
  • All ticket purchases are verified after purchase to ensure students got the correct ticket.
  • This event is only open to high school students.
  • Students who attend a High School enrolled in PlayVS can compete for free. Other high schoolers will need to purchase a ticket.

Player Ticket Options - PlayVS Schools

These options are for any student from a PlayVS school enrolled in the Spring 2023 season.

  • Single Player Ticket: FREE
    • Rocket League Single Player is WAITLIST ONLY.

Player Ticket Options - Non-PlayVS Schools

These options are for students from non-PlayVS schools only.

  • Single Player Ticket: $30.00
    • Rocket League Single Player is WAITLIST ONLY.
  • Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate Ticket: $30.00
  • Rocket League Team Pass: $81.00
  • League of Legends Team Pass: $135.00

  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AT ANYTIME AFTER PAYMENT. STAY PLUGGED IN WILL HOLD A CREDIT TO A FUTURE EVENT IF NOTICE OF CANCELLATION IS GIVEN AT LEAST 3 WEEKS PRIOR.

Rocket League ($300 for the winning team)

  • 1st Place - $225 for the team
  • 2nd Place - $75 for the team

League of Legends ($500 for the winning team)

  • 1st Place - $375 for the team
  • 2nd Place - $125 for the team

Super Smash Bros.™ Ultimate ($100 for the winning team)

  • 1st Place - $75 for the team
  • 2nd Place - $25 for the team

PLAYER REQUIREMENTS

  • Discord login & account information
  • Game login information
  • Rocket League players must use Epic Games to login at the venue.
  • If you have your own controller, mouse, keyboard, mousepad, or headset, you are more than welcome to bring it to the event and use it. Please note, if you bring your own equipment, you must bring any connecting cabling and/or USB receivers required for it's use.

When does registration for this LAN event end?

Registration for this event ends at 6:00 AM ET on Thursday, May 18th!


Approximately how long is the tournament going to last?

Teams will compete on Saturday in a group style competition that will last approximately four (4) hours. Sunday competitors will compete until either they lose or win the championship, which could last up to five (5) hours.


How do I make sure my teammates get included on my team for the event?

You will be prompted to indicate your teammates upon registration. Roster changes occurring after registration must be reported. Message the assigned admin in the SPIN Discord server.
